1. What is Generic Viagra for?

Viagra is approved for the treatment of men who have difficulty having and maintaining an erection (impotence).

2. Will Generic Viagra work as soon as I take it?

Viagra is ready to work in your body in as quickly as 30 minutes. And it lasts for about 4 hours.

3. How does Generic Viagra work?

An erection is the result of an increase in blood flow into certain internal areas of the penis. Viagra works by enhancing the effects of one of the chemicals the body normally releases into the penis during sexual arousal. This allows an increase of blood flow into the penis.

4. Can I take Generic Viagra with alcohol?

Drinking alcohol can temporarily impair the ability to get an erection. To get the best results, it is best not to drink large amounts of alcohol before taking Viagra.

5. How do I take Generic Viagra?

Viagra is taken orally as a once daily dose, one hour before sexual activity. For more detailed information consult with your health care provider.

6. What if Generic Viagra doesn’t work?

While Viagra is effective in up to 4 of 5 men (versus 1 out of 4 taking sugar pills), it’s not effective for everyone. If it doesn’t work for you, speak with your doctor.

9. Will Generic Viagra be prescription or OTC?

10. Are there any side effects with Generic Viagra?

As with any drug products, there are side effects of the product in some people. The most commonly reported side effects in patients treated with Viagra during the testing of the product were: headache, flushing, stomach ache, and mild and temporary visual changes (color perception changes, light perception changes, and blurred vision).

11. Can Generic Viagra be used with other treatment for impotence?

The safety and effectiveness of Viagra when used with other treatment for impotence has not been studied. The use of such treatments in combination with Viagra is not recommended at present.

12. How often can I take Generic Viagra?

For most patients, Viagra can be taken once a day as needed. In patients taking certain protease inhibitors (such as for the treatment of HIV), it is recommended not to exceed a maximum single dose of 25 mg of VIAGRA in a 48-hour period.

13. Can I take Generic Viagra after eating?

Yes, Viagra can be taken with or without food.

14. What if I am taking other drugs?

Always discuss with your health care practitioner ALL of the medications you are taking (prescription and over-the-counter). In that way, you can receive the best advice for your own situation. At present, Viagra is not recommended for people taking nitroglycerin because the combination may lower blood pressure.

15. Can I cut my Viagra pills in half?

Viagra (sildenafil citrate) pills are not made to be cut in half. Cutting pills in half is not recommended. No studies have been done to determine if half a pill is effective
